MB92 Partners with Neom for Superyacht Repair Centre in Saudi Arabia Sindalah Luxury Resort
MB92 Group, a renowned superyacht refit, repair, and maintenance company, is collaborating with Saudi Arabia to establish a cutting-edge yacht repair facility at Sindalah, a luxury island resort set to open in Neom by 2024.
Sindalah is purpose-built as part of Neom, a colossal $500 billion (approximately €472 billion) megacity development in Saudi Arabia’s northwestern Tabuk Province.
The joint effort between Neom and MB92 marks the inception of several yacht repair centers in Neom. This project is a proactive response to the expected surge in visiting and resident yachts in the region, as Saudi Arabia strives to cement its reputation as a premium tourism destination.
Specialist superyacht concierge and maritime agency services provider BWA Yachting will also establish an office in Sindalah, while IGY Marinas is partnering with Neom to develop and operate the marina at Sindalah. MB92’s new repair center at Sindalah will offer yacht owners traveling to the Red Sea access to the company’s extensive experience in addressing the intricate repair needs of yachts and superyachts. The facility will place a strong emphasis on sustainable development in its design, processes, and equipment.
Aayush Killa, Executive Director at Neom Islands, expressed, « Teaming up with MB92 Group reflects our commitment to becoming a distinctive yachting destination. This venture embodies our dedication to delivering world-class infrastructure and services to support yachts visiting the Red Sea. »
Pepe García-Aubert, Chairman at MB92 Group, stated, « We are extremely excited to be a part of the remarkable Neom project and embrace the opportunity that this partnership represents. We envision this as merely the beginning of a lasting and meaningful collaboration, allowing us to provide the local yachting community with a world-class refit and repair service in this incredibly beautiful region with so much to offer. »
The repair center will commence operations by offering a range of services, including onboard electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic system repairs. Yachts of all sizes can undergo in-water works, and the center will extend its expertise to vessels up to 40 meters (131 feet) in length for drydock operations.
