At the Venice Arsenal, from 29th May to 2nd June 2025, it will be possible to visit the
‘Tales from the Blue’ exhibition. A project that combines Baglietto’s attitude to
innovation with its attention to historical memory, in what will be the brand’s first
participation at the prestigious Venice Boat Show.
La Spezia, 30th 2025_ Baglietto, the historical shipyard based in La Spezia, chose the
Venice Boat Show to present to the international public its “Tales from the Blue”
installation: a container transformed into an immersive exhibition aimed at narrating, in
a unique and original way, the brand’s 170-plus years. Created in an industrial space
transformed into a travelling exhibition area, the “micro-museum” offers an immersive
experience that narrates through images, sounds and sensations the incredible heritage
of the Seagull brand, which has been interweaving its history with the Italian country since
1854.
Inside the exhibition flows, in fact, the nautical experience of Baglietto, from its origins in
1854 in Varazze, to today made of sustainability and look towards the future, in an exciting
and engaging narrative path. A journey through time also reconstructed through the
voices of some of the personalities that made the brand famous in the past, such as
D’Annunzio and Puccini, to whom Baglietto entrusts themes linked to belonging to a
country, its uniqueness and its founding and shared values of avant-garde, excellence and
boldness.
“With Tales from the Blue we have chosen to tell our story not only with words, but
through a sensory experience that brings Baglietto’s soul to life” comments Diego
Michele Deprati, CEO of Baglietto. “It is an immersive journey through time and the
values that define us: innovation, excellence, belonging. A tribute to our past and a
declaration of intent for the future.”
“Tales from the Blue,” comments Raffaella Daino, Head of Communication & Marketing,
“is not just an exhibition: it is an identity manifesto that celebrates Baglietto’s ability to
reinvent itself over time, remaining faithful to its roots and projecting the strength of its
vision into the future.”

Baglietto:
Boat builder Baglietto specialises in the construction of new planing aluminium yachts ranging between 38
and 50 metres in length and steel & aluminium displacement mega-yachts above 40 metres. Baglietto can
currently rely on 2 production sites, in La Spezia (headquarters) and Carrara (operating site). The La Spezia
headquarters extend over an area of approximately 35,000 sq. m. Over the last few years, the entire production
site has been extensively renovated and enlarged. Three new sheds allowing for the construction of yachts up
to 65 m in length were built in La Spezia, as well as new fully-equipped quays, to berth vessels of up to 70 m.
The operating site in Carrara, conversely, comprises 2 areas of 5,000 sq. m each. One is used to build military
crafts, while in the other – now equipped with 4 new sheds – yachts up to 50 m in length are built. Baglietto’s
activities are set to grow considerably, not only with regard to the construction of new pleasure vessels, but
also in the military sector, with the BAGLIETTO NAVY brand, under which 2 crafts for the Italian Navy are
currently under construction.
